5 Caring Tips for your Sole

    OSIM_footmassage_4

Care Tip #1 – Air your shoes

After a long day of wearing your shoes, leave them out to air so that the moisture inside can dry off and reduce the chance of bacteria multiplying in it.

Care Tip #2 – Wear comfortable insoles

Even if you wear comfortable footwear, with all the walking, it is inevitable that you will feel the aches on your feet. Hence, having a comfy insole is important. The insoles that come with most shoes usually provide little or no support and comfort. You may consider getting gel-based or those with firmer arch for a better support and comfort.

    Care Tip #3 – Cleaning

Bath your feet in soap and lukewarm water every day.

Lather them thoroughly with soap and scrub them with a loofah.

Don’t forget to dry your feet and in between the toes as leftover moisture is a breeding ground for bacteria, which causes odour.

For a refreshing feel, try adding fresh mint leaves in the water.

Care Tip #4 – Hydrate skin with cream

Foot creams are generally thicker and more viscous than body formulas because they are supposed to deliver more moisture. Use foot cream that contains exfoliating lactic acid, which dissolves dry patches while it hydrates.

    Care Tip #5 – Massage

Many of us spend far too long each day standing still, or moving around, leading to tired, aching limbs or swollen ankles.

A quick leg massage at the end of the day can work wonders in reducing aches and sluggish blood flow.

Massage provides the means to ease these tensions and revitalize this weight bearing part of the body.

Releasing that pressure makes new blood flow in, while also improving circulation of the lymph fluid that removes metabolic waste from your muscle.
